Heavens Above ! This slide ( -> ) starts a outbreak of Deja Vu. No details on slide (natch) but I've got a feeling I've been there before. Looks like Gullfoss in Iceland, and I'd thoroughly recommend that people visit it once (or more) in their lives. I don't have a shot in exactly the same location, but this is a close by shot.
I can imagine the post-holiday slide show already. Jam packed with predictable and clichéd shots of Edinburgh Castle, Buckingham Palace, Stately homes etc etc.

Just starting the scanning of a new set of slides, and the good news is that they all have detailed descriptions on the mounts, so no confusion regarding subject, location and date.

I do have to admit, there is something about churches that can be quite beautiful. I may be a devout atheist (thank God) but certain churches do just look right.

Weather dreadful - wind, rain (monsoon). A trip to Plockton and Kyle of LochAlsh reminded me of just how over-rated they were. So, most of the day spent in car parks and coffee shops, reading a book. Day ended well with a magnificent venison steak. Nom!

You know, you really can't tell what's going to turn up in a box of slides. Yesterday, I was working my way through a box of someone's round the world trip slides (good news - they're all labeled, bad news - illegible handwriting) and this turns up.
