See.
Halloween doesn't have to be about Horror and Slutty Fancy Dress outfits.
Tho, a few more slutty nurses are definitely an improvement.
Bonus - Lovely Ladies with Pumpkins
Being a construction of your humble blogger Tepid Halibut, with the aim of posting one vintage slide image per day, from now until Kingdom Come. (Or until Mr Halibut gets bored.)
See.
Halloween doesn't have to be about Horror and Slutty Fancy Dress outfits.
Tho, a few more slutty nurses are definitely an improvement.
Bonus - Lovely Ladies with Pumpkins
In the absence of any info on this pair of ragamuffins, some background on the use of "urchins"

Obviously, I value my privacy, and don't want hordes of you plebs coming to visit me.
But, I do ow my riches to you, and this is one of the perk of being Google's Miscellaneous Blogger of the Week back in 2012.
Obviously I'll not reveal which Welsh Loch this is situated beside, but there are some clues in previous slides from Slide Box Gallery no 6.
Bonus - Things you never expected to see as a headline. "Jeremy Corbyn to play ‘Wizard of Oz-lington’ in Christmas pantomime"
The fear of the unknown, and the unseen is the greatest dread.
So for a Halloween Tedious Tuesday, a seemingly innocuouc iamge, which could be foreshadowing something dreadful.
Bonus -
I get the idea that she's seen thing that should not be seen, and cannot be unseen.
Pretty girl, though.
Bonus - Been a while since I watched this .... Joyous !
Sunday in the UK, and in the seventies, that was prime time for a visit to a local attraction, like a castle, museum or Vintage Steam Rally.
Hear, Granny takes Martin and Polly to ...ummm... Warwick Castle ?
Bonus - Why do we yawn?
Today's is from the recently scanned box, and marked as 1955, Mirror Lake.
Nice.
Bonus -
Something that the youngsters (by which, I mean the under 40's) don't understand about the past was the difficulties of maintaining a long distance relationship.
Before the uniquity of Mobile Phones, and before the rise of email, it was the telephone that allowed people to connect and catch up.
And before everyone had an in-house private land-line, public call-boxes were often the key.
Bonus - B3TAn HappyToast has the inside scoop on Trump's Remodelling of the White House.
Just like this bloke's visit to the majestic scenery of .... checks slide..
"Schartz Zee 1972"
Maybe they mean Schwarzer See, but that don't look like no sea to me.
Bonus :
.
Palatial villas on the canal, and speedboats.
The more things change...
Looks like the building is the Hotel Catullo, in Malcesine , a town on the eastern shore of Lake Garda in Italy.
Bonus -
Not really a Tedious Tuesday slide image, more of a Photographer Phail.
A peril of 35mm photography was double exposures, and yes, this is one.
I can identify a shout of orange trees, and on the right, what appears to be a vertically orientation garden, with someone displaying results of a fishing expedition.
Nice.
Bonus - The world is changing. Mosquitoes found in Iceland for first time as climate crisis warms country
Hallelujah. A Slide with some info. "Salt River Canyon, Ariz."
And yes, there are a lot of similar images of the Salt River Canyon on the interweb. For Example.
To me, it's reminiscent of the area around Great Yarmouth, Norfolk.
Bonus - How does your rectum tell the difference between wind and stool?
So, today, while waiting for my lunchtime lobster to cook, I scanned another batch of slides. According to the franking on the box they were posted it, I bought them in 2009...but only now finished scanning them.
This image had zero info, but I'd like to think its Amish country, perhaps in Pennsylvania.
But maybe it isn't.

| Sorry. This man is an idiot. |
Sounds like te name of a US State's Cheerleading Team, but no.... That's the flower in the image.
Pretty.
Bonus -
Looks like a coach trip, with a cheeky chappy driver who caught the attention if the the photographer.
Slide is dated May 1970, but other than that .... nada.
The passenger door location makes be think it's continental Europe, an indeed the front of the bus reminds me of this MAN coach.
Bonus - The thousand-year story of how the fork crossed Europe, and onto your plate today
Writ upon a slip of paper in with these slides was "Portugal, Spain, End of Rotten Holiday."
No other info. But, the slides had a lot of images of cruise ships, horseback riding and such like, so... yeah. Probably spain.
Some slides looked distinctly like Gibraltar, so this may be close by.
Bonus - Strange. I thought birds flew south for winter.
They smell weird, fall over, are hungry all the time, and do stupid things.
Nope. You can have them.
Bonus -
Nice.
Sometimes, All I need is a lovely image of a tree, lake and scenery.
Presumably Sandwich Lake means Squam Lake NH rather than Stonar Lanke, Sandwich, Kent.
Bonus -
As is often the case, it's fascinating trying to build a narrative from the small details in the slide. In this case, there's a host of little observations.
The elephant tusks around the fireplace, the (possible) buffalo head above the fire, the zebra skin cushions, the cushion with a giraffe, the Desert Pattern Camo curtains. Yes, I'm sure that that plaid shirt guy is one of those "I shoot wild animals for sport" nutters. Showing off to a couple of visiting relatives.
Bonus - Slide Image 7000
Bonus 2 -
The roll of the eyes tells you all that you need to know about Peggy's opinion on husband (and photographer) Wilbur's suggestion of "Maybe you could try some other recipes."
Peggy knows what she can cook, and what needs cooking.
And tonight, it's Chittlins and Grits. Not pizzas or lasagne.
Bonus - RIP Jane Goodall.
This mysterious bloke emerging from the pitch black in this zero-info image.
I did try boosting the pixels, but....nope. No info on what's in the inky black void.
Bonus - 11 ft 8 inches. That's how low the low bridge is. And labelled thusly. Can you guess if idiot drivers still try to drive tall vehicle under that bridge?
