Nope. No idea if it really is Mr Woods, or even if it is the remedial woodwork class, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was. That the photo's outside a school is undeniable - the air of depression is obvious.
So I'm guessing that this is the bunch of lads who weren't ver good at the Three Rs, and for the school year, they laboured hard on building a little dinghy. Now, they've finished and it's time to drive it over to the local reservoir to test it. Cue some of them finding their cagoules. Notice how worried some of them are...would the Good Ship Venus actually float ? Probably not.
NB : I'd recommend this photo be used in the gatefold sleeve for Half Man, Half Biscuit's next album "Beverley, Hull 19620". Anyone agree ?
