More Funghi


It's been a while since the last picture of mushrooms, so time to wheel out this pair of tiny devils. This species is the Peacock's Knee Mushroom, and is a native of Wiltshire, tho' it has been spreading as far as Staffordshire, most likely due to Global Warming. ( The name derives from the belief that the mushroom cap looked like a peacock's patella.

And there's always some poacher who'll take advantage of it. I'm no expert, but I believe that that is a male Mulligan'...
