The Dover Stage Hotel


A striking example of post-war modern architecture, this is "Stage" as in coach-house rather than "Stage" as in full of resting theatrical types.

One of the joys of this slide collecting lark is finding a detail, such as the name on the building, and finding that it leads to other people's obsessions  - such as this page devoted to The Dover Stage Hotel.  Good work fellas.

Alas, I have no other details on when this was taken.

Bonus - while Neil Armstrong was on the moon the Soviets crash landed an explorer just 500 miles away.
