I was initially puzzled by the boat's name - the Loreley.
Surely that's a bad spelling of "Lorelei", but it appears that Loreley is an alternative (Germanic) spelling of Lorelei.
Obviously, this is named after the huge slate rock on one bank of the Rhine.
I live and learn.
