Another boring slide...but wait ! A Time Capsule ! That sounds fun. The plaque reads
"SANDS TIME CAPSULE
A Sands Time Capsule was buried
on this site February 6, 1978.
It is to be opened December 15, 2002
on the Sands' Golden Anniversary
celebrating 50 years of good times."
So, what else do I know about this ?
Well, this was actually the second Time Capsule, the first having been discarded on a spoil tip. The Sands Hotel was blown up in 1996, and the Time Capsule....no-one knows !

I wonder if it contained a bathrobe, slippers and little bottles of body/hair gel.
You could be right, though I suspect that the pillow mint will be passed its best by now. Actually, the first time capsule contained a wax impression of Jimmy Durante's nose. How very odd.
