Go West, Young Man

If this had been in focus, it could have made a great desktop wallpaper; trimmed and cropped. However, it's still intriguing. No information (you expected that, didn't you?) but I enjoy a little in the way of detective work.

A Kodachrome slide, but a bigger image than 135 film, so probably Kodak 828 size, which would suggest a 1950's or 1960's date.

Th banner of of Roses makes me think of "Tournament of Roses" in Pasadena. However, the wet road is a surprise.
