Classic Red Arrows

Ah, a sight to warm the cockles of most British Air Enthusiasts...the classic Red Arrows display team. "Most"? Well, yes...personally, I always considered them as work-shy self-centred show-offs.

And for those who don't recognise the aircraft....try this.

First Day of Summer Time

Yes, clocks went back (or is it forward) last night, so I'm hoping for sunshine and flowers today. If they arrive, I'll be dressing up in suit and stripy socks, and head off with my toy gun to shoot some daffodils. (Damned Dirty Daffodils.)

Bonus - YES Weebl's got his badger back.

In Germany, A Little Man...

How Rare. It looks like Prose carved into a black marble slab, but... it rather poor prose (IMHO) and the opening lines turn up nother on Google. As usual, there's no context on the slide, although it's probably American.

Bonus - It's an "Alexander's Star"

The arrival of Spring, and Lydia and Mildred enjoy a day at the seaside. However, while they enjoy showing off their Summery Dresses, by the look of the other promenaders, the weather's not that hot. Overcoats, gloves, fur hats, fur coats..... that's an English Spring !

Although the boats all have a SF place name, I don't think this is San Francisco.

From others in the box, Tunisia is my bet.

Rainy Day at the Temple

Damn. Another Japanese slide - honest that wasn't planned. Well, I had planned to use this slide today, but I decided that before the quake and tsunami.

Marge is clearly on a fashion shoot for Bulgarian Vogue - this season's hot choices are purple and mauve crimplene dresses, clear plastic Pak-A-Macs and strange knitted hats. Expect to see Naomi Campbell sporting this look soon.

Cliff

From a box of slides covering a trip to Soviet Russia, 1985.

Why, for gawd's sake, why? A totally tedious rocky outcrop? Maybe it's a camouflaged MIG manufacturing base, maybe it's espionage intelligence for a cruise missile attack. More likely, it's just another dull slide.

Bonus - Well...it is Pancake Day

Health and No Safety

Apologies for the faded colours on this one - no amount of tweaking will restore that.

Intriguing....

There's something about this slide I find intriguing, so if you can shed some light on it, I'd be grateful.

Stone wall, weed-infested verges and a cloudy sky makes me thing of Britain.

But, that palm tree ? The Scilly Isles?? And what is that conical stone structure? Windmill...blast furnace...cheese press?

Bonus - Oh the shame. Pervert caught pleasuring himself in slurry for third time
