The name that you're squinting to read is "Alveston Manor Hotel", and it's still in business in ... Stratford.

The car park has an eclectic selection of classic British motor cars.

But...still dull.

Actually, No.

Closer inspection reveals that it's the entrance to the Grosvenor Hotel, and it's Ballroom (on Floor 2A).

While utterly tedious, there is the mystery of where this Grosvenor Hotel actually is. The obvious candidate in London is actually The Grosvenor House Hotel.

Thermos Flask or Camping Stove ???

 

It could be any small carpark in England (in 1978), and these folks are enjoying a refreshing cup of tea.

Tea?  Of course. It has to be tea. Don't let those coffee mugs confuse you, these folks are definitely tea-drinkers.

But the big question is, did they bring their tea in a Thermos flask, or did they fire up the Camping Gas stove for the best possible fresh brew?

Enquiring minds need to know.

Yes, it's the actual car park used by King Arthur while questing for the Holy Grail of a Decent, Low-Priced Fish & Chip meal in Cornwall.

Actually, It was quite easy to find the same location today (Well, Sept 2018, to be honest.) and frankly, the modern scene makes Tintagel just as unappealing to me.

As usual, no info on this slide, but I guess most educated people would realise that this is of a part of Canada.

More usefully, that' a distinctive structure on the horizon.

Built on the former Railway Lands, it was completed in 1976, and held the record for the world's tallest free-standing structure for 32 years from 1975–2007 and was the world's tallest tower until 2009.
