The whole box of slides was devoted to Brenda (second from the right) and her recently sprogged child. But this slide is different in not featuring her crotch-fruit.

Bonus : I was walking past a farm, and a sign said, “duck, eggs”! I thought, “that’s an unnecessary comma”

From a slide dated Sept 1971, and...heavens...is that  the pleasure cruiser "White Rose" in the background?  That might make this a slide from The Norfolk Broads. Well, I never !

At the end of the day ....

 

...there are some very very nice slides in my collection.

Circumstantial evidence suggest that this is in the Lake District, and some time in 1968. But, I could be wrong.

Thelma at Badger's Beck

 

At the northwest corner of the London Olympic Venue, Badger's Beck is one of the last remaining patches of Wilderness in Greater London. It's also the last remaining breeding ground for The Azure Freshwater SeaHorse, so is now cordoned off from the masses.

However, in this vintage slide, we see Thelma O'Grady, just about to plunge into The Pool, as was the custom of the day.

Blankets, Baby Boy and Bertha

 

There's a lot of slides of this lady and her baby boy (Yes, definitely a boy based upon the bath-time photos), and this seemed appropriate for a lazy Sunday morning.

As an aside, 1971 was a time before duvets, or "Continental Quilts".  Blankets, sheets and suchlike ruled the day.

A Sharp and Clear Morning

 

Slide collecting isn't just about crappy weddings, funny looking people, tedious churches and Fish Parades (tho' much of it is.)

It's sometimes about find rather pleasing slides.

A crisp morning, while out walking the dog, and luckily the unknown photographer sees this view and thinks "I like that!"   Well, I like it too.
