I've always liked the name Trash Pandas as an informal name for Raccoons. 

Alas, racoons seem to be much maligned species in the US of A, and the Trash association doesn't really help.

I wonder what the equivalent for UK wildlife would be...

The slide, however, is a highlight from a box of "American Zoos" slides. This compound is a vast improvement from the literal cages that some exhibits are confined to.

So, I know that these wee critters are officially Raccoons, but I've always preferred their alternative name "Trash Pandas".
