No, the title doesn't refer to my current mental outlook. I'm fine, honestly. (Tho' that's what you expect an under pressure dude to say...Oh, what a mess I've talked myself into. )

The title refers to this unlabelled slide, from March 1973. It was in a box with a load of obviously Indian locations, and I'm thinking this might be the Elephanta Caves

All I know of this slide is a date - March 1973 - but after extensive research I'm prepared to wager almost 20p that this is not an exhibition of the Argentine Tango.

As usual, minimal information on the slide...other than a date of March 1973.

But that setting seemed Indian, and that item left of centre sparked the word "Juggernaut" so off to research that I went.

Yes, Juggernaut was right, and further digging suggested Buddhist Temple, Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu, India.

Interesting.

It's been a stinking hot day, here at Slide Guy Central, so this slide seems to be appropriate.

(When I say hot, I mean hot for this neck of the woods. I'm sure that thousands of you blog-followers would thing that 27°C is normal. Well, I'm Scottish, so that's infernal.)

Don't know where this is, but I suspect that it's miles away from Stornoway.

This is the Taj Mahal, which was built as a riposte to Brechin's Municipal Pleasure Gardens, and their 1874 claim to have "The most luxurious Gentlemen's Convenience in the British Empire."

A close look at the slide, tho painful, suggest that teh subject is (could be?) a bunch of folk setting off on an Elephant Safari.

The Legship Suspension Bridge

A bit of a surprise.  Legship Suspension Bridge - erected 1962 - Span 210ft.

I thought I'd have a little Google, and a bucketload of info would appear. But...no.   Very little info.   In fact. No evidence that Legship has a suspension bridge.  How odd.

Most slides I get are dull.  There's only so many times you can see a picture of Fred Smith looking at a church before you grow weary.

However, there's are sometimes quirky slides, and several of you have seen the Slide Guy calendar.

Rarely, there are a batch of truly beautiful slides, and I recently scanned a few. From a Mr KH Burrell, Sun City, Arizona, this one dates from 1978, but could be from anytime in the past few millennia. The only clue on the slide was the world funeral, and there doe appear to be a funeral pyre at the centre.  So, on the Ganges ?

But, whatever the subject, let's admire the craft and skill of Mr Burrell.
