Rouge

 

Again, the slide has very little in the way of clues - just the handwritten word "Rouge".  So, my guess is Baton Rouge, in Louisiana, which might mean that that water is in fact the mighty Mississippi River.

But, then again, it could be Russina Military Camp No 47 - NATO CodeName "Rouge".

I dunna, and from the look of the place, I shouldn't care.

The Neverchanging Guard

It's been a while since the last tedious image, so here's a extremely dull one. I'm sure someone could tell me where itis (London, obviously) but frankly, I'm not that interested.

Alveston Manor Hotel

If it's Monday, it must be hideously dull slide day.

And today's IS dull.  Alveston Manor Hotel, Stratford Upon Avon. Raising the slide slightly above the tedium level is the eclectic assortment of vehicles in the car park.  Mini. Mini Clubman, Jaguar and Rolls-Royce. Hmm. Intriguing.

200 Not Out

Slide number 200, and a return to the Dull, Boring, Tedious Monday theme.

Subtitled : "Large Ship Entering Unknown Canal...or might be a dock...or something."  This slide really is dull.

The Pink Barnacle

No, "The Pink Barnacle" is not a club catering for gay sea-farers.

No, I'm not going to make lewd jokes about "going under", "seamen", "Bottom-Feeders" or "Aaarrrs!".

It's merely a bunch of barnacles, coloured pink. Plain and simple.

Anyway, did you know that the wild Barnacle Goose (Branta leucopsis), whose eggs and young were rarely seen by humans because it breeds in the remote Arctic, got its popular name because it was imagined to grow from gooseneck barnacles ?

Photographe a la Tedium

OK, so foreign travel wasn't as common a few decades ago, but why on earth would anyone take a photos as screamingly dull as this one. There's just no reason for it to exist. It's dull, Dull, DULL DULL!  So, it is strangely fascinating to me.

Obviously, the original slide has more detail than the scale version above, so I can tell that the car on the right is an Opel Ascon 1.6D, and the number plate is very clear.  But that doesn't affect the fact that the picture shouldn't have been taken.
