OK, I'm making a leap of logic here - It doesn't LOOK like Kansas, and there are no tornadoes / Totos in sight.
The slide dates from 1987, but it it really a timeless image.
Bonus - Fascinating Tales from The London Dead
Being a construction of your humble blogger Tepid Halibut, with the aim of posting one vintage slide image per day, from now until Kingdom Come. (Or until Mr Halibut gets bored.)

A command that would chill to the bone, for any 1970's UK doggie. (Barbara Woodhouse)
This might be in the Peak District, but I'm not sure.
Bonus - Why JFK’s original coffin had to be disposed of in the middle of the ocean
Isn't that on the Chatsworth House estate?
Indeed , it does appear to be. I've been there a couple of times, but not for a couple of decades. But, it does appear to be here.
Noice.
Bonus - Surprise!
It's been a while since we last had a slide from the Holling's College Fashion shows, so here's one from 1987. You'd never have guessed 190's from the fashion, style and hair...would you? LOL
Bonus -
After yesterday's totty-fest, we return to more scenic slides.
This is marked as Elwy Valley 1987, and most pleasant it is too. The River Elwy (Afon Elwy in Welsh) is a river in Wales forming a tributary to the River Clwyd. Though the source of the river may be on the northern flank of Moel Seisiog, south-east of Llanrwst, the river only receives the name Elwy at the village of Llangernyw, where three rivers meet.

Margo's facial expression (and Gerry's) tell you all that you need to know. After 3 hours clenching, her sphincter muscles are about to give out, releasing a 43-second Trouser Trumpet of epic volume
And then, The Smell....

Bonus 2 - Donald J Trump. Did you imagine that DJT couldn't become any more hateful? Nope. He gets worse. “Why do you bring people like that here? No one wants to see that, the wounded.”This slide was marked as "1987 Carnival Dollgellau", but based upon a hunch, I actually think that this may be Queen Mellissa, the queen of the Barmouth Diamond Jubilee Carnival.
But I could be wrong.
Bonus - Garfield. Dark. VERY DARK.
Bonus 2 - That reminded me of Garfield Minus Garfield. It is a journey deep into the mind of an isolated young everyman as he fights a losing battle against loneliness and depression in a quiet American suburb
I'm just not feeling ...right ... today.
I have a theory, but .... not for your eyes.
The slide, seems to be of Hvitträsk, west of Helsinki. Sculture... Yeah.
Even without some writing on the slide, it would not be hard to name this location.
Cologne Cathedral ... an absolutely stunning construction, which survived WW2 thanks to it's use as a obvious landmark for navigating bombers. Allegedly.
Bonus - In memory of the recently deceased Burt Bacharach, here are Love, performing My Little Red Book.
It's fascinating seeing what Hilda and Matthew get up to, on their summer holiday in Derbyshire (in 1987.) Especially, when their doggos, Skip and Flash, with them.
Bonus - one of my Go-To relaxation channels... Thanks Phil
There are probably hundreds of tourists photos which are very vert similar to this.
There are probably hundreds of tourists who have told friends and neighbours that they really wish they had this rather that Tesco or Waitrose.
Those tourists are, of course, lying. A quick dose of typhoid or cholera, and they'd be screaming for safe, reliable Sainsburys.
Bonus -
No info on the slide other that "Summer - 1987".
But, I RECOGNISE IT ! Having driven along the M6 many, many times, I recognize this as the (now) Lancaster Services, and recall once having had a meal in the restaurant (before it closed in 1989.)
Alas, fire safety rules mean that it'll probably never function as a restaurant ever again, which is a pity.
Bonus - Your brain, after all, is encased in darkness and silence in the vault of the skull. Its only contact with the outside world is via the electrical signals exiting and entering along the super-highways of nerve bundles. Because different types of sensory information (hearing, seeing, touch, and so on) are processed at different speeds by different neural architectures, your brain faces an enormous challenge: what is the best story that can be constructed about the outside world? Brain Time
It was Summer 1987 when Mavis Enderby enjoyed her final cigarette.
She was in The Snug of the Jolly Submariner Hotel in Ashbourne, Derbyshire, and Mavis was enjoying a Capstan Full-Tar ciggie.
Seconds later, she was engulfed in flame, and died in seconds. Some say it was a stray ember igniting her control-top pantyhose, but other said it was spontaneous human combustion. We may never know.
Bonus - ⍼ - Why Nobody Knows What This One Unicode Character Means
Although this slide was in a box full of South American Exploration slides, I don't think that this is taken in South America.
It's interesting to note how few navigable rivers there are in South America, and how that has rather restricted population growth and industry to the coastline. The Amazon being a rather large exception.
Bonus -
This might appear to be from the secret stash of a very obsessive stalker...
... but it isn't.
The box of slide shows a middle aged couple having a holiday break in northern part of Derbyshire in 1987. And the photographed almost everything they saw.
Very dull.
I have reason to believe that this slide was taken in the grounds of Chatsworth House. Reason - Other slides in the box look like Chatsworth, and I sort of recognise the area.
