And what finer entertainment than ladies balancing on blades on ice, shaking their collective tushies at an appreciative audience.

Looks like someone's has a woopsie on the ice.

With my warped and odd brain, I was intrigued to see a medical gurney with wheels used on ice., but I suppose it still needs wheeled to the ambulance once it's off the rink.

Not an act that you're likely to see nowadays, but if you are interested, there is plenty of information and video out there of Spanky.

Emerging from a Glacier...

I realise that the title make it sound like a Godzilla movie synopsis, but in fact it's only Mrs Hattie Van Stoenk, leaving the ice tunnel under the Venkmaan Glacier. That's the only remaining glacier in Denmark, as you know.

I have set of 30 slides, where someone has photographed a whole Ice Capades type show, from the back of the audience. This is an example.

It amuses me that this is little different from the current "Film a gig with my iPhone" mentality that bugs me nowadays.

I guess every generation has its douchebags.

I've got a whole series of slides commemorating some family's trip to the Ice-Capades. Clowns, dancers, chorus lines, pretty girls, ice hockey fights...it's got the lot.
