Walking in a Winter Wonderland

Tho' their faces betray a certain ennui regarding the cold, these folks should be enjoying a magical wander in the snowy forest.

Or maybe, they are recreating the Donner Party's expedition, and thinking about who to have for lunch.

Walkies !

A command that would chill to the bone, for any 1970's UK doggie. (Barbara Woodhouse)

This might be in the Peak District, but I'm not sure.

With the end of British Summer Time, it is now officially Autumn. Or for our American readers, "Autumn".

A Walk along the Coast

August is prime Summer Holiday season, you can tell by the shops having "Back To School" supplies. So, here's a cheery summer slide. The slide was marked "1965-Jun-Ladram-Bay", so that's some info for a change.

A Summer Evening's Wander

Yes, It's out of focus... I Know.

But, for a sunny evening, George and Hilda loved to lace up their hobnail boots, and have a walk to Old Hobb's Groto, the scene of much of their courting.

Bonus - If this was real, I'd buy it/them.

Trowelsworth Tor

The slide is helpfully marked with "1980-06-Plymouth Reg Guides above Trowelsworthy Warren" which tells you almost everything you want to know.

Oh, that that big block is an unfinished plinth for a flagpole at Devonport Dockyard.  Great Trowlesworthy Tor.

Chepstow Castle

Apparently.

From the slide, I was thinking that Chepstow Castle was clearly a quiet rural location, but a check of an Ordnance Survey maps shows that Chepstow Castle location is quite urban.

Still, looks nice.
