After a truly astonishing response to yesterday's slide, with very nearly one message, I think  it's time for another Half-Frame slide.

Today's ... it's a bit mysterious.

The main characters look like Guizers, out on a Penny For The Guy campaign, raising money for fireworks on Guy Fawkes night.

But, the weather seams too damned good for early November.

So, I'm open to suggestions. The slide was processed in March 1976, but that doesn't mean that the picture was taken in March 1976.

Apparently, there is some sort of Euro International Championship Football Superbowl match happening this evening, and local team "Ingerlund Ingerlund" are playing Les Azzuris. Let's hope for a good, fair, enjoyable match, with the best team of overpaid, diving, prima-donnas winning.

In case you're wondering, the black boarder around this image is not an In Memorium / recently deceased indicator. I have no idea if this little cutie is still around, or gone off to the happy hunting grounds.

Instead, it's a recognition that this image was a Half Frame 35mm slide. A nice idea, and I did have a Olympus Pen-EE. I wonder what happened to that....

Bonus - I was going to describe this image differently, but I was slightly surprised to learn that squaw can be an offensive term. To some folk. Perhaps. Perhaps incorrectly.

Bonus 2 - Henry de Bohun, a brave knight who thought he could kill Robert the Bruce on the open field because the King of Scots was armed only with an axe. Robert regretted the incident because he broke his favorite axe splitting Henry's head.

Frustrating Hallowe'en

 

I know that I have seen a bunch of slides of kids in Hallowe'en costumes, but ... can I find them when required ?

Heck no!.  So this slightly sub-optimal slide will have to do.

Clarice - and her problem with wind.

 

Clarice is, or was, a lovely girl.  Pretty, helpful, find and respectful of her elders.  However, she was shunned by her school friends and neighbours due to he chronic flatulence.

No matter what her diet was, or whatever drugs and remedies she tried, there was a fairly constant toot-toot from her nether regions. And we're talking gaseous, odorous and loud.

Heavens. It's amazing the memories that a slide can trigger.

In this case, it immediately fired off a neuron marked "Casey Jones", a tv series I recall from the early 1970s. It appears it actually dates from the late fifties.  Gulp.

Altho it was a TV series, it was (loosely) based upon the real life exploits of Casey Jones.
