Fine, suits me.
So, here's a nice beach scene to make you think of holidays, sand fleas, and noisy Magyars shouting at each other.
No idea where this is, but it's probably not Iceland.
Bonus - Lose Yourself
Being a construction of your humble blogger Tepid Halibut, with the aim of posting one vintage slide image per day, from now until Kingdom Come. (Or until Mr Halibut gets bored.)
Fine, suits me.

Bonus - Lose Yourself
Acting on his suspicions, Mr Hank Flibble burst into his daughter's bedroom with flash-bulbs blazing.
Alas, Dorothy and boyfriend Seymour...calming discussing the events of the day.
Damn.
Bonus - Nope
Alas, this was a very under-exposed slide, so getting any sort of image out of it was difficult.
So, why did the photographer keep this one?
There's a clue written on the slide - "1964 Me in Waterlow Park".
We photographers didn't take many self-portraits back in the days of 35mm slides. Nowadays, with digital images, it's an epidemic.
Bonus -
"Mozumdar Temple " - That's what was on the slide, and it was obvious that was in, or near, India.
But it isn't. This, surprisingly, is in California, and it still exists. Mozumdar Temple . Google Streetview

As Storm Goretti hits the UK, and another "Snowpocalyse" threatens humanity (according to the media), let's look back to November 1964, and ...yes...another American Street Parage.
Possibly the last of the Christmas / New Year slides.
Today's was marked as "Party for Peg Jan 64", so I guess that's Peggy being manhandled by strange old Uncle Herb.
It's the Eve of Christmas/
Time to refresh the water on the Brussel Sprout boiling, hide the sherry from grandma, panic over the batteries for Mom's toy, and check under the tree.
Bonus - Gertrude, a 94-year-old widow, was heartbroken after her husband Harold died. She decided to end it all with his old Army pistol.
Wanting to make sure she hit her heart and didn’t just cripple herself, she called her doctor. “Doctor, where exactly is a woman’s heart?” “Right below the left breast,” he told her.
That night Gertrude was admitted to the hospital with a bullet straight through her knee.
In the state of Illinois, December 20th was traditionally the night when Santa visited certain homes, to see who was "Present-Bragging". That is, had so much disposable income, that a host of Christmas Presents were installed under the tree, as boast of just how rich they were.
Santa, aided by Tabernacles the wolf (here he must be taking the picture) would visit at 11.37pm, and take half of the presents, to redistribute to more worthy (and poorer) recipients.
Alas, this tradition seems to have died out. I blame Donal Trump.

That's a bold fashion choice.
June 1964, and someone thought that it was a good idea to wear a pink two-piece, just a few months after Jackie Kennedy wore a similar outfit in Dallas.
Brave.
Bonus - My friend accused me of stealing his thesaurus...
Not only was I shocked; I was taken aback, flabbergasted, and aghast.
In response to very nearly one request, he's a shot of my own personal forest retreat, where i commune with nature, and consume heroic quantities of mushrooms.
No, I'm lying. Obviously.
It's the Jardins du Trocadéro from the Eiffel Tower.
Bonus -
To his parents, it was a Raleigh Flipper Junior (with optional stabilizer wheels).
To Robin, is was a Rocket, zooming around the deepest extent of the known back garden, in the constellation of 84 Waterloo Crescent, Hove.
Bonus -
Another slide from the Beryl Blood boxes of beauty. And I wonder if one of these two ladies is the titular Beryl.
The info on the slide was "Canadel-June-1964", so...I wonder if the location has changes in the intervening 61 years.
Bonus - Little guy is having a bad day
It's Tedious Tuesday again, and today we have. A hill. Maybe a mountain.
Actually, even sadder....I recognise it.
It's Mam Tor. The "Shivering Mountain" in Derbyshire.
It's actually quite interesting, tho' this slide hardly inspire anyone.
Bonus - Scientists just made guinea pigs listen to Adele for seven days… and the results are both surprising and worrying
Yes, they've finally done it. After a couple of years of friendship, and one disappointing knee-trembler behind Adkinson's Butchers, Bert and Mave have done it.
They've announced their engagement.
Nice.
Bonus - Make Everything OK
Doug and Debbie, Norm the Best Man, Doug's Parents (Melvin and Agatha), Debbie's Parents (Peregrine and Eunice), the Bridesmaids ( Felicity, Jenny and Brian (Yes ... I know, but he asked)) and Flower Girls (Alice and Enid). Phew.

Specially-trained Tab Terriers were common in Sheffield.
