Obviously, this is from a few years back ... 1957, if I recall correctly, when we'd borrowed a time machines to head back for a High School Hop.  A, nostalgia.

For Hank - a White Tuxedo, Black bow-tie (pre-tied) an a buzzcut.

For Lorna (a real "go-er, to ne honest) - a black evening gown and white over- the- elbow gloves.

Fashion standards that I still adhere to. Except for the white tuxedo. And  bow-tie.

A couple of weeks ago, Reg my cat disappeared for 24 hours. Then, he just appeared sleeping on my bed....but reeking of perfume. Odd, as he doesn't wear perfume.  No clue where he was...I got the silent treatment.

Today is Spring Bank Holiday (UK) or Memoril Day (US), and I thought we'd give in to nostalgia, and hark back to the idyllic days of fifties Arkansas.

A View Of The Badlands

 

A wonderful slide from the forties or fifties, and I'm assuming it is of somewhere in the Badlands of( South Dakota?).

The slide has deteriorated a little, with some colour desaturation, but I still like it.

Actually, my Search Minions suggest that this might be Beartooth Highway, Montana, and ... it looks quite possible.
