Nonchalance Personified

That's a very relaxed dude.

From his outfit, a golfer perhaps, but cast adrift on a cruise liner???

He reminds me of this image

128 - Audrey Tries ... Crazy Golf

Some of you will recognise this as Episode 128 of the US TV Series "Audrey Tries ..."

Made by KCTT Albuquerque, the series saw Audrey Hingle trying new hobbies or activities in the Albuquerque Metropolitan Area.

The series was cancelled after Episode 174 - Audrey Tries Crack Cocaine.

Bonus - Were it not for death, today would have been the 98th Birthday of both Chuck Berry and Klaus Kinski. Interesting.

Bonus 2 -

The Epitome of Tedious Tuesday.

Golf, I believe, is the zenith of tedious spectator sports.

So what could be more sports-tedious that a golf course, and without even any golfers.

Yawn.

Bonus - Straw Bear festival

You've just missed it. The traditional event features a ‘Straw Bear’ and its children being led through the streets of the village of Whittlesey in Cambridgeshire followed by morris dancers.

Before Crazy Golf Went Crazy

This is the championship course for the 1965 PCGA event, and was criticised by Wilbur Watson ( then-US Crazy Golf defending champion) as "A bit too out-there for my liking".  He won anyway.

Compare that with modern crazy golf course, and... well. There's just no comparison.

Bonus - Yep, it's been Hot  ... and spicy.

Aerial View of ... the Golf Course

I've always like aerial photography.

It's a bit commonplace nowadays, thanks to dronage, but this hot will date from the days of pointing a camera out of a aeroplane window or door.

Bonus - Top Tip - don't park too close to buildings

Bonus 2 - Clever

Golf Belles

Original slide was massively over-exposed, but it did have a certain charm.

Bonus - After a few days illness, I'n back to reasonable health, Thank you for all your messages of support. At the last count, the total was very nearly two messages.

My favourite was this one, from Mrs Trellis of North Wales. "Dear Edward Snowden, if the CIA are carrying out extensive worldwide surveillance, can someone tell me where I left my house keys?"

A Man Needs His Wheels

You need wheels (as the Merton Parkas said)  if you want to make deals. However, Howard here doesn't seem impressed by his new ride - the Super Scooty Deluxe Cart Plus (with optional convertible pack) just doesn't measure up against his previous Dodge Wanger muscle-car.

Bonus - Not the sharpest tool in the police toolbox.

Golfing Gals

Mollie, Mavis and Mildred. The cougars of the San Mateo County Golf Club : always on the prowl for unsuspecting teenage caddy.

My first thought was that this was some odd Performance Art / Drag Queen extravaganza, but no...it appears genuine. Which means that beehive, grimace and hat are genuine fashion.

Lovely.

Bonus - The Art of Political Speech is absent.
