Ken and his Ladies

Ken Worthing had a bit of a reputation as "A Ladies' Man", and this slide helps prove the legend.

Not only Foxy Fiona and Luscious Louise, but the photo was taken by Busty Babs. No wonder Ken was banned from every Woolworths' store in Cornwall.

Nonchalance Personified

That's a very relaxed dude.

From his outfit, a golfer perhaps, but cast adrift on a cruise liner???

He reminds me of this image

The Man From The Shadows.

 No, not Hank Marvin.

This mysterious bloke emerging from the pitch black in this zero-info image.

I did try boosting the pixels, but....nope. No info on what's in the inky black void.

Bonus - 11 ft 8 inches.  That's how low the low bridge is. And labelled thusly. Can you guess if idiot drivers still try to drive tall vehicle under that bridge?

Mike's Retirement Meal

No wonder he looks happy. Today is Mike's last day as Richard Nixon's Frog-Stuffer.

One of the more obscure roles in the US Presidential Staff, even now, I cannot reveal what the role entails.

But he's happy to stop.

Another American with Fish

I've said it before, and I'll probably say it again.

Americans have a strange compulsion to be photographed holding the fish that they  angled.

Why???

A Moment of Solitude

Sometimes, we just need a moment alone.

In contemplation.

.

And some folk, are banished from the masses, such a Mr Peter "Stinky Pete" O'Farrell. His chronic Halitosis cannot be treated by mere human medication, so off he goes, out of breath-shot.

Bonus - A lovely Czech-born woman approached a pawnbroker at a local mall.

She said to him in almost perfect English, "Please, I am looking for one night stand."

Liking her accent, the man closed his shop, and they both went to a bar for a couple of drinks, a nice restaurant, a club with a good floorshow, then afterwards headed back to his place for a romantic interlude.

As the sun began to use the next morning, he smiled sweetly at her sleepy face and said, "So how was that?"

"Was wonderful," she replied, "But I still have no place to put bedside lamp."

Eric The Smug

Eric, in his stupid sportscoat, posed with that daft pipe of his, at the white cliffs of Dover.

It would serve him right if the cliff would crumble and ...oh ... ahhhh... right, let's just quietly walk away.

Bonus - At dinner, my frustrated date said, “so napping and sitting around are seriously your only hobbies?? You told me that you were interesting!”

“No, no,” I corrected, “I said that I was into resting.”

One For The Ladies

This is Jeffery.

He's 37 years old, divorced, and looking someone who's make him feel special.

WLTM someone in the Wilmington Area, ideally living in 1963.

Big Norks would be an advantage.

The Christmas Cowboy

Huh?

Well, actually he is Mr Chris Maas, of Lubbock Texas, and actually he's getting a bit tired of the teasing.  However, his chum Hal Owen has similar issues about the end of October.

Was he the inspiration?

While he was official just Professor of Needlework, Kevin "Illinois" Johnson spent his weekend and vacations chasing down important quilting artifacts from under the noses of the Italian Fascists.

Do you suppose he inspired a later film hero??

Out Standing In His Field

Leaving aside the dreadful pun, this is actually quite an interesting slide.

Obviously, no info on the slide - not even a date for it, so it's fun to look for clues.  The colour slide, suit, bow tie and two-tone shoes make me think 1940s or 50s, but the vehicle doesn't look particularly oversize like most American cars.

In fact, it looks very much like a  Ford Popular. That model was produced by Ford UK, and the fact that it has a steering wheel on the right, and an AA badge seems to confirm that We're Not In Kansas.

The scenery and the field of....crops doesn't help much.

More interesting is the car number plate - " B-4570 US Forces in Germany."

Colin Emerges From Hibernation

He may have been derided but his neighbours, but Colin "The Bear" Attleborough had the last laugh.

Every November, Colin would find a cave in the Norfolk Alps, and settle down to sleep there for the winter, emerging usually in March.

Not only did he avoid the winter coal prices that crippled his neighbours, but I also slept through Nativity Services, Boxing Day Television, and his wife's affair with the milk-man.

This Fine Fungusy Fellow.

I did harbour a faint hope that I could figure out who this chap is, or was, but... my Google-Fu has deserted me. It could be DH Lawrence. It could be Ethel Merman in a fake beard.

I have no idea.

Pipe up if you know who this bloke is.

The Flatulent Cleric

Little known fact.

In a survey of the major religions in 1998, the priests of the Greek Orthodox Church were found to be the most flatulent.

Whether that is due to diet or genetics needs further investigation.

This slide was labelled as Priest at Negades
