Yes, I'm back from a few days up with my Mom.

My return coincides with the arrival of warm spring weather, so I might pull on the standard shorts, socks and shoes of the middle-aged bloke, limb into a deck chair, and soak up those positive waves.

Roger's Proud of his Garden

 

Roger deVille (not visible in photograph) was very proud of his garden, and would take a weekly slide, so that he could do his annual "State of the Garden" show at the East Frinton Gardening and Taxidermy Club nights. 

Attendance was always low on those nights.

An Arboreal Avenue Cathedral

 

There's probably a better word for it, but this avenue of trees does remind me of a cathedral.

No info on the slide, obviously, but the lack of a formal road up this avenue does seem rather unusual. Perhaps one of you readers may be able to enlighten me.

As a pure guess, I wonder if it might be in Hidcote Manor Gardens... but purely a guess.
