Will There Be Birthday Cake?

 

No, it's not my birthday today. You missed that by over a week.

However, today does see the the commemorative visit to El Swanky Nosh-Shop with "The Gang" for a Sunday Lunch. And, maybe there will be cake.

In the midst of a bunch of slides of a mature couple visiting Chatsworth and Cheshire, there's some of the bloke's birthday. And a dull looking event it was too. However, this slide caught my eye.

Very much an aspirational buffet spread... decorated salmon AND two pork pies.

I'm sure I've mentioned that 90% of the slides I have are dull.   Churches, scenery, christmas...whatever.

However, that's doesn't mean that the subjects are dull. For example, today we have Notre-Dame de la Garde, in Marseille.

An impressive Catholic Basilica by anyone's standards.
