Feeling Hot, Hot, Hot

 

It's been a stinking hot day, here at Slide Guy Central, so this slide seems to be appropriate.

(When I say hot, I mean hot for this neck of the woods. I'm sure that thousands of you blog-followers would thing that 27°C is normal. Well, I'm Scottish, so that's infernal.)

Don't know where this is, but I suspect that it's miles away from Stornoway.

(Not) A Stock Image

 

An odd title, but it does make sense. This slide is of a classic old Colonial Style cottage, possibly in New England.

But in search for possible real life locations, I found that this cottage is the subject of a Stock Image in a library (see little picture).  And used in at least one advert/webpage.

The Lincoln Memorial (with fungus)

 

Another example of Photography Gone Wrong. In this case, a very standard picture of the Lincoln Memorial has been stored in a warm, humid location, and ... fungus.

I do hope the fungus is non-hazardous.

But, artistically...I like it.

Bonus - L Ron Hubbard believed that tomatoes feel pain and that - if it is quiet enough - you can hear them scream when they are sliced.
