It's been a while since we last checked in with Maude, and we find her enjoying the sunshine, or actually just the shade with he Hubby.

I do wonder if Maude employed a paparazzo to follow her, and take lots of picture of her and Mr J.

Regular readers will know that Maude's legacy has been blighted by strange slide film fading and deterioration. 

And it's evident here. The plain scan of this slide was rather dull, and lacking in contrast, so pressing the "Enhance" button (a la BladeRunner) gave me the surprising result.

Those appear to be two alien/zombie things from "They Live".

Yes, it's the return of one our favourite models - Maude Jefferson.

Alas, you can't see her face, as she is...well ... I guess that some of the younger blog-readers might not recognise that pose.

Clearly, Maude is photographer her chums with a Box Brownie type of camera.

Even ignoring the partial double-exposure, this slide proved trouble. Ektachrome and Time meant that there was little more than red pigment in the image.

Still, I was able to rescue a picture of Milton and Maude.

Now, here's a curious thing.   Today's slide was going to be very cute old slide if some young kid trying to climb onto a sofa.  Only, the kid was nekkid except for a pair of trainers.

An entirely decent shot - kids face and naughty bits not even visible, and zero change of identifying the subject after 60 years.   But my consulting lawyers (Haddock Bumble and Tibia plc) had the worrying thought - what is someone thinks that it was kitty prawn ? I could imagine anyone finding the slide arousing...but there are all sorts of weirdos out there (and in here, say some) so ... here's a picture of Milton and Maude.

My first thought was that Natural Bridge was an archaic and endangered card game, but actually it's actually another battle in the American Civil War, this time in Florida.

Fans of the blog will recognise Maude in this slide, and will undoubtedly conclude that this was another horrendously deteriorated Ektachrome slide, made readable by witchcraft and conversion to monochrome. And they'd be right.

Good news for fans of Maude Jefferson - She's Back !

Obviously on a religous kick, Maude's visiting what appears to be a religous theme park, tho' Googling reveals no likely suspects.

However, from the absolute 1950's primness, her unconventional looks and serious fashion, sshe makes me think that she's a minor character in John Waters' Cry-Baby. Perhaps Hatchet Face's mother?

Time to check up on Maude and Milton Jefferson.

Since our last visit, M+M have invested in some garden chairs, and are putting them to good use. No doubt, Milton will be keeping an eye out for those pesky cats, as usual.

Maude, however, seems to have taken a shine to flouncy, bouncy dresses. Obviously inspired by teh fashios on Mad Men

A welcome return from our Old Maid Maude. Out on a road trip with Milton, Maude takes a moment to fully read the "What's On in East Westville !" notes from the Motel Owners.
