I've always liked this slide, tho' I'm not certain if its good photography or bad photography. The colours suggest evening, tho' it could be sunrise,

Being a construction of your humble blogger Tepid Halibut, with the aim of posting one vintage slide image per day, from now until Kingdom Come. (Or until Mr Halibut gets bored.)
Bonus - The Horse Magnifier Game
Unsurprisingly, there's no info on this slide, other than a Feb 1979 processing date. But, it looks hot n high to me.
The dreaded AI suggests "The image features Washingtonia filifera, commonly known as the California fan palm or desert fan palm, with snow-capped mountains in the background. "
Which is amazing, because I went to university with a guy called Washington Filifer. I wonder if they're related?

POW!
There's this pensive your lady.
Strange, no?

Ah.
Friday.
Friday afternoon.
A chance to relax with a coffee and a carafe of chilled Cabernet Sauvignon.
Bonus.
Four million pounds of thrust, and no OFF switch.
Mandy Fothergill (46, Former Undertaker's Hole-Plugger and Part-Time Topless Barmaid) and Keith Fothergill (55, Apprentice Florist) enjoy a moment on the veranda, while on their romantic tour of Schleswig Holstein.
Norman, my gardener, reckons that they are examples of Trussler's Stinkhorn, but I'm not convinced. They look like Triffids, waiting for the right time to murderous assault on humans.
And that is Mrs Edna Crumweevil, or Norwich posing beside one.
Bonus - Anyone fancy Kermit The Frog singing Once In A Lifetime?
Same as it ever was.
Lady Samantha "Nibsy" Nibblewick, showing her friends around "The State", showing the best view of her new mansion.
Alas, two weeks later, the earthen mound that it was built upon was washed away. Three days before the home insurance policy came into effect. Such a shame.
But .... Nibsy? Phwoar !
Bonus - Last Night - Teenage Fanclub at Rock City. Excellent.
Yes, I know.
Two consecutive beautiful scenery slides, and a complete lack of "Funny Looking Kids". Well, It's my blog, and there are few other blog visitors. Yes, it's true, I have less that 500,000 visitors a day. (Far less)
Bonus - But, Today is Dancing Cow Day
Bonus 2 - Two scientists walk into a bar. The bartender asks what they would like to drink. The first scientist says “I’ll have a glass of H2O please.”
The second scientist says “I’ll have H2O too.”
The second scientist dies.
That's a most pleasant slide today, but the only information on it was the word "Finks".
Wherever Finks is, it looks like a great place to live.

Bonus 2 : Last Night : Teenage Fanclub at The Leadmill.
I normally avoid posting many pictures of "fascinating churches we found on our holiday" or "this was the stately home a mile from our hotel".
This image, well, OK. It's rather special.
It's the Nave roof, in Ely Cathedral. The cathedral has its origins in AD 672 when St Etheldreda built an abbey church. The present building dates back to 1083, and it was granted cathedral status in 1109. Until the Reformation it was the Church of St Etheldreda and St Peter, at which point it was refounded as the Cathedral Church of the Holy and Undivided Trinity of Ely.

With today being Comic Relief - Red Nose Day 2021, I thought it would be appropriate to celebrate Saint Harvey of Flintshire, that man generally accepted as being the inventor of the "Knock Knock" joke.
He lived in the 9th Century, and attempted to convert the people of Flintshuire to Catholicism through the use of parables, good deeds, miracle (basically card tricks) and .... jokes.
Alas, after a particularly badly-time "The Baron is so stupid" joke, he was eviscerated and died on stage. Literally.

I suspect that this slide was shot here, but ... who knows?
Bonus - You wouldn't want to mess with the FV4005 Stage 2 Tank Destroyer
...and on this slide was written the single, cryptic word :
Ipswich
Perhaps the wisdom of the internet could fathom it's true meaning.
