84 Years Ago today - The Wedding

 

I've previously posted slides from Dene's Wedding, and discussed the possible background.

Today's slide was marked as "Helen Huntington and Mr Mapstone (Maid of Honour and Best Man)".

I don't think that she is the socialite Helen Huntington, but ... you never know.

The Bride and Groom??

That was my first thought, but I'm not convinced. It certainly doesn't seem like the Happiest Day Of Their Lives, does it.

And the deep blue dress, rather than the traditional white?  Maybe this is just the Best Man and Bridesmaid.

It sort of fits, with the audience / congregation focusing on something else, behind them.

Who knows?
