Beachcombing

 

On the last Saturday in September (for this year at least), it seems suitably nostalgic to hark back to days of yore, when the family would scour the sea shore for flotsam, jetsam and mislaid bundle of cocaine, floating on-shore from narco-subs.

I think that the location is Weston-Super-Mare, but I could (probably) be wrong.

Wookey Hole - North Chamber

 

Strangely, there doesn't appear to be a North Chamber for the official Wookey Hole.

I have to conclude that this picture is of some 1-to-1 replica of Wookey Hole, located in Derby Assembly Rooms. (There the Bruce Forsyth Hall was originally known as The North Chamber.

I'm sure that the two tykes in this picture would be fascinated to see this picture. They'd now be in their sixties, probably, and might even remember the occasion.

Alas, the photographer, or their successors saw fit to get rid of these slides, and make a quick buck on eBay. Tough Lucks kids.

August Bank Holiday - The perfect time to visit Gaulden Manor Garden. I have to say, that this view of the garden makes it look a bit of a dump.
