Sun Worshippers

 

Here in Slideville, this late November Sunday has had quite a few patches of sunshine, and it made me think of hot summer days with hot summer babes in bikinis. Like Madge and Gladys here. They do rather demonstrate the link between Tanning (exposur of skin to the sunshine) and Tanning (the treatment of leather to make it tough and resilient.)

Not every slide set I have is just funny looking kids, interesting old churches, and men holding fish.

No, sometimes it's a set of amateur (model and/or photographer) pictures of bikinis in the sunshine. And who am I to complain about that !  

From extensive study of these pictures, the location for these shots would appear to be Balmedie Beach, just north of Aberdeen. The strong sunshine was an obvious clue.

Yes, the end of august, and the final Bank Holiday of the year.

So, let's celebrate with these two ladies. identified only as "J & K on the Beach, 1978."  Clearly in the ladies believed that SPF 50 Sun Protection is for wussies, they hopefully believed that their leathery skin would provide some protection from the slings and arrows of outrageous comments. Nice.

I was going to entitle this post as "Dirty - Girl on Beach", based upon the dirty condition of the slide, but, alas, I thought might attract the wrong sort of visitor.

I really like this slide, and I like the retro bikini style that she has - obviously, the outfit would not suit me, but I can admire it.

Teen Bikini Time

While the fine Easter weather continues, it seems apposite to post another "School Trip At Easter" slide.

Today, it's from the 1971 Schoo, Cultural Trip to Majorca, and a shot from beside the pool.  Luckily,  Mr Walesby is there to keep an eye on the girls.   And, out of shot, Mr Tibbs kept a close eye on the guys.
