School's Out for Summer, and little Neville's having a wild time in the garden. Wrapped up warm in a woolly jumper (just the one...it is summer) he's awaiting his chums' arrival.
Bonus -
Being a construction of your humble blogger Tepid Halibut, with the aim of posting one vintage slide image per day, from now until Kingdom Come. (Or until Mr Halibut gets bored.)

Some summer days, it's just not worth heading out to the beach or the parks. Just spend the day in your own garden and...relax.
Bonus - Another crappy Daily Mail story debunked.
Bonus 2 - Rottweiler...kiddy...slide...cute
Bonus 3 - Love this picture of camels in the desert

Deep in the heart of Esher, Margot and Jerry cut some blooms to decorate the scene of tonights wife-swapping party. Jerry is a senior account executive at a well-established merchant bank in London. (He wouldn't bank without a tie, so why would be garden sans cravat !) Margot is a leading light in the Esher Amateur Dramatic Society, where her title role in "Lolita" is still talked about.
Bonus - The Rather Wonderful Count Von Poo

Daisy's and Slipper. A winning combination.
Neville's considered a bit of a sex object. His girlfriend objects to having sex with him.
Bonus - Computer Graphics in the early 1980's - The Residents

Or fondle, if you so wish.
My only chef-ing this week was yesterday, in readiness for visit of sis and S.O. I adapted my recipe for Lemon Posset, and made Lime Posset. Delicious, and complemented the pub meal we'd just had.
(The New Inn at Shardlow, if you care. Rather tasty food, beside the canal. Stinking hot weather, so indoors was quieter and more relaxing. Beside, I had insufficient tattoos and a surfeit of fingers to fit in with the beer garden clientèle.)
Bonus - Slo-Mo golf ball against a wall.

Phew. What a Scorcher !
It's a rather warm day here in Derby, so I'm just taking a break in the shade.
If I had a pool like there ladies, I may well be lazing beside it !
Bonus Allie is having a bad day

"Hey kids. We don't need to head off to that snooty Country Club do we ? We can have fun in our on garden, can't we? I'll go and fetch the pool from the garage, we'll have fun without those snobby, black-balling folks at The Club".
Bonus - A Game, of sorts. Regarding the Polyphonic Spree. Typically infuriating and charming.

A couple of days up North, but I'm back here in Slideville, an this little scenario made me smile.
Missus Somethingorother doing the gardening, with the faithfull pooch on look-out for cops, cats, FBI or aliens. An excellent little moment in time, captured by Kodak.
Bonus - Does What It Says on the Tin
Bonus 2 - Channeling his inner child. Little Billy's Letters.

Glorious.
(Is it worth actually trying to write some blurb to accompany the pics ? )
Bonus : Squirrel in the Snow
This might be from Winnipeg in Ontario...but then again, it might not.
More shopping ideas... Seriously...how lazy are people?
Bonus - Rather good Half-Time Mascot action.

Well, there's a label bottom left : "Fruit Garden".
But where's the fruit ? With the exception of a possible clump of rhubarb in the background, there's nothing visible. But you'd be wrong. This is a Ninja Fruit Garden - fruits skilled in the arts of concealment.
Show a moment's loss of concentration and...SPANG.... another success for the Shaolin Mango.
TraditionalBonus : Rod Hull and Emu - OMG. Aerial problem foreshadowed !
In This Picture Are Three Snipers. Can You Spot Them?
Yes, this is a training slide from the 14th (South Cumbria) Hussars, and their renouned "How not to be seen" course. Using the skills of countershading and disruptive patterns, three crack snipers have positioned themselves amongst the Petunias.
Perhaps your only chance for survival is to spot them, and disarm them before they attack with Loganberries.
After the excitement (?) of the past few days, it's time to settle down with a truly tedious slide. This is an utterly manky lawn, and any gardener should be ashamed of it. Even worse, there appears to be a "feature plant" in the middle of it (in line with the front wheels.) that looks like an abandoned stick. 2/10 from the garden judges.
Hey everybody. Look at Ted's New Fence !
Isn't it just so...wooden ! Yeah, cool....hip...rad and anything else the hep kids would say.
BUT....Something is missing ! More Exclamation Marks ? !
No..... A greenhouse. But if you remember...
Summer's here, and the time is right, for clipping your hedge. And for that truly detailed look, it has to hand-trimmed. What had been a wild and unruly thatch, is transfomed by careful clipping into a neat and tidy thin strip. No wonder the gardener looks tired but happy.
