I know that today is Tedious Tuesday, but today's slide is actually doubly interesting.

• The slide mount may be the standard 2inch square size, but the image was larger than the normal 35mm size.
• The slide image is of Lloyd Prentice, the only Mortician in Kansas City to have pet penguin. (Charlie the Adelie penguin.)

So, not very interesting.

Robert "Bob" Schneider.  Scourge of the Prairie-Dogs in Clinton County.

Pawnee Rock, Kansas

One-half mile north of U.S. 56 and the town of Pawnee Rock is Pawnee Rock State Historic Site, a monument to travellers on the Santa Fe trail. It marks the approximate halfway point on the Santa Fe Trail. The monument consists of a rough stone pole building used for picnics and a granite pillar shaped monument atop a small hill.
