Obviously, someone's small-holding produced a bumper crop of inions, and this is the way to dry them out for better preservation.

The Black Border is a little not to this image originating from a half-frame camera.   I've explained them before, but.... it's a thing. From the past.

Guizers - "Penny For The Guy?"

 

After a truly astonishing response to yesterday's slide, with very nearly one message, I think  it's time for another Half-Frame slide.

Today's ... it's a bit mysterious.

The main characters look like Guizers, out on a Penny For The Guy campaign, raising money for fireworks on Guy Fawkes night.

But, the weather seams too damned good for early November.

So, I'm open to suggestions. The slide was processed in March 1976, but that doesn't mean that the picture was taken in March 1976.

When people think of fashions of 1976, they usually think of the outrageous fashions of Vivienne Westwood, or the lurex and spandex of the Discotheque.

People just don't think of chunky knit sweaters and simple cotton dresses.

But Charlie and Rosey do. 

Oh... the Black Border?   This slide was a half-frame slide, and this crop seemed appropriate.

Bonus - 20 Years ago (on 4th Nov) MC Hoky released his only album, and this was the lead single.

In case you're wondering, the black boarder around this image is not an In Memorium / recently deceased indicator. I have no idea if this little cutie is still around, or gone off to the happy hunting grounds.

Instead, it's a recognition that this image was a Half Frame 35mm slide. A nice idea, and I did have a Olympus Pen-EE. I wonder what happened to that....

Bonus - I was going to describe this image differently, but I was slightly surprised to learn that squaw can be an offensive term. To some folk. Perhaps. Perhaps incorrectly.

Bonus 2 - Henry de Bohun, a brave knight who thought he could kill Robert the Bruce on the open field because the King of Scots was armed only with an axe. Robert regretted the incident because he broke his favorite axe splitting Henry's head.
