Probably on the Santa List for every boy in the 1960s, a new red bicycle.
But be careful with the rolling backwards, issue.
Bonus -
Being a construction of your humble blogger Tepid Halibut, with the aim of posting one vintage slide image per day, from now until Kingdom Come. (Or until Mr Halibut gets bored.)

To his parents, it was a Raleigh Flipper Junior (with optional stabilizer wheels).
To Robin, is was a Rocket, zooming around the deepest extent of the known back garden, in the constellation of 84 Waterloo Crescent, Hove.

...but what is the hidden message?
The photographer clearly posed this young lady beside that sign....but why?
You don't suppose that there was some implication about being the village bike, do you?
Bonus -
I'm sure that the original photographer has a more poncey title for this slide (sumfink like
"The inevitable collapse of a Theocratic Omniverse in the face of Rustic Rhinoplasty"
but "Flat 1." seems good enough for me.
Bonus - Amazon Let Its Drivers’ Urine Be Sold as an Energy Drink
I'm just back from a week away, enjoying fabulous weather and superb scenery on the Scottish NC500 route. Maqnifique! Highly recommended.
This slide, however, is probably not of Scotland, tho' I did see palm trees, bikes, blue skies and sunshine.
Bonus - Conrad Heyer, born in 1749, is the earliest-born person ever to be photographed. (Photographed when alive, to be pedantic.)
Bonus 2 - The earliest known photo of doner kebab (meat cooked on a vertical rotisserie) by James Robertson, 1855, Ottoman Empire

If you've got a problem, the Evergreen Terrace Boys can solve it. Probably.
Bonus - The Unexpected History of the Air Conditioner
Bonus 2 - R.I.P. Peter Corby
Flurries of snow outside mean I can't go for my usual 60 mile bike-ride, so this vintage slide will have to do. A youngling with a "You'll grow into it" bike, and a Grandpa in proper winter-wear. None of the modern technical alpine-wear, suitable for an assault on The Matterhorn.
Bonus 1 - Sri Lanka's health minister, who endorsed herbal syrup to prevent Covid, has tested positive for the virus
Bonus 2 - It's hideous, but I want it.
In fact, the joke that introduced him to Britain.
The slide itself - Tedious and yet quite interesting.
Bonus - An anti-gay Hungarian politician has resigned after being caught by police fleeing a 25-man orgy through a window.
Bonus 2 -
This shot shows the eventually winner Calumn Gilhooly (no 604) who appears to have been racing on behalf of the "Highland Cress Bob" team.
