Big Hair in the Eighties

Just about everything in this slide screams "I'm From The 1980's!"

The hair, the make-up, the aerobics fashion ... even that shade of black background.

Bonus - Your daily dose of " Awwww "   The Vincent and Dora Show

Mother ... and Child

A-Ha.   Looks like the original description could have been taken as offensive... OK.  Removed. Sorry to anyone offended.

Maybe it's the hairdo, but there's also a bit of Rosie The Riveter as well.

Bonus -  Happy Birthday to John Cruikshank VC
Bonus 2 - Found It !   The best album review ever. From Sounds in 1981, it's by Curt Vile of "Loud" by Half Japanese.

Mrs Goldstein's Flower

Mrs Gloria Goldstein was inordinately proud of her abundant Chrysanthemums.

However, impressive tho' they are, the eye was usually drawn to her ridiculous hairstyle.  Was it a wig?  Was it real?  IS it in fact a hairy crash helmet?

Who knows.

Bonus - Busted.

Doreen's Dial-A-Massage

When travelling salesmen get stuck in Tucson AZ, in a crummy hotel, their first call is to Doreen.   When called, Doreen will visit them, and carry out a full Prussian Massage, and for an extra consideration, she'll even walk over their backs in her two-tone golf-shoes.

Their second call is for an ambulance.

PS.  Is that really hair, or is it a crash helmet?

Bonus - I almost feel bad laughing at this.

Almost, but not quite

Belinda's Beehive Bouffant

A sadly neglected hairstyle in the 2000, the Beehive was an American institution for many decades, surviving thanks to the efforts of Peg Bundy, The B-52's, Audrey Hepburn and Amy Winehouse.

To be honest, I doubt if there's any other thing they would have in common.

Bonus - Kate and Cindy....  How about one of my favourite singles of all time.   Give Me Back My Man

Short Back and Sides, Sir?

"...or would you like a 'Lionel Blair' like mine?"

Oh come on, you know the rest of that joke.

Still, nice to see how they do it in other parts of the world.

Bonus : Well, Bless My Iguana !
