Inside a Dalek
Watching last night episode of Dr Who, I immediately was reminded that the Dalek "driver" looked like some of the medical instruction slides I had.
For example this textbook example of "Shatner's Bassoon".

Yoiks! Ducks !
Here's an interesting facts. In most Western European cultures, rooks and ravens are seen as harbingers of doom / foretellers of death / etc.
In Finland, that cultural icon position is taken by the duck. The arrival of a duck in your garden is a VERY bad omen.

This time, a cheerful shot of..... a graveyard.

Visit to Gaulden Manor
August Bank Holiday - The perfect time to visit Gaulden Manor Garden. I have to say, that this view of the garden makes it look a bit of a dump.

Well.
I suppose I should applaud such photographic adventure, but I'm afraid that execution scores lowly.

Trevor's Story
The whole dinner party is entranced by Trevor's Story. Basically, at the age of 3 he was kidnapped by raccoons, and grew up in an extended raccoon family, before returning to human society at the age of 19.
Someday, he hopes, he'll write a book or TV sitcom on the whole episode.

Sid's Wedding - Sept 1965
So.... A few weeks ago, a box of slides arrived marked as "Sid's Wedding Sept 1965". A smile broke out on my face - weddings and the 1960s. Two of my favourite slide subjects.
Fate had dealt me a savage blow. The photographer has the brain of a retarded limpet, and the slides were massively under-exposed. And often blurred. This slide may better belong on the "Bad Photography" selection, but it does make a rather subdues desktop image.

Welcome to Matisinus
This box of slides had a hand-written label saying "Portugal Matisinus, Spain End of a rotten holiday."
This slide may be Spain, or it may be Portugal, but I like to think that it's Matisinus.

Where We Buried Them
"When we buried Daddy and Auntie Sophia, we left them with plenty of Marathon Bars, and took this picture to remind us of where they were..
Unfortunately, the processing took longer than we expected, and when we returned we found that the ponies in the background had moved as well. We searched for hours for these patch of heather with the blue tent peg.. but couldn't find it. We didn't know where to dig.
We were really sad, despite having chips on the way home, but now we can laugh about it. I wonder what happened to daddy..."

There, that surprised you, didn't it.
