Smuggler's Cove
I hate it when I find a decent slide, and there's no information on it. HATE IT.
Especially when I'm fascinated to know where it is.
This one is probably Cornwall. Or Devon, but damn you inadequate slide cataloguer.

It's A Man and A Horse
August 1978, and most of England is obsessed with the emergence of Punk Rock. However, in one part of Shropshire, a yokel is still impressed by his Shirehorse.

Not All Scenic Slides Are Trash
I may have miss-led you into thinking that all slides of scenery are crap, but that would be wrong.
There are many excellent images of scenery, and indeed it's my preferred subject for photography.
What I might be saying is that a majority are humdrum, and a fair proportion are trash ... but some (like today's) are rather good.
Bonus - RIP Phil Chess. To mark that...

The Origin of Goat-Boy
It seemed like a normal family trip to Whipsnade Zoo, one Easter, but it was here that young Gerald that started his journey to become Goat-Boy.
Years later, miscreants and super-villains in Luton would fear the name Goat-Boy, Defender of Justice - and his side-kick Nanny Girl. Now, who might that be....

Jeremy's Jeep
I have a friend (No, really, I do.) and he claims that this young lad is definitely Jeremy Clarkson.
Me, I can't see the likeness at all.
But then again, I can't tell you who it, so there is a vague possibility, this is the Producer Puncher himself.
Bonus - Pigeons in a Grain Silo. (Not suitable for vegetarians....)

The Dark Lunch
Another crappy, underexposed, mis-focused tedious slide. One with no redeeming featured.
Hope you like it.
However, here at The Slide Guy, we don't give up on thesewretched slides. With a little play with the light levels... voila!
Slightly more detail.

Interesting Architecture
This is one of "those slides".
One where you go "Oooooo. That's slightly familiar."
Well, I saw this and immediately thought it might be in Yemen.
Some Googling, and yes, it's the famous city of Al Hajjarah.
Slide probably dates from mid seventies, so that's a rather daring holiday chose for this game old bird.

How Gravel Is Made
That gravel on your driveway - have you ever wondered where it comes from?
Across the world, lowly paid mothers spend up to 190 hours a week breaking boulders into smaller and smaller parts. Then, the best, most attractive, pebbles are selected and shipped to a acility in Guadeloupe, where the inputs from 45 different locations are mixed according to a dealers requirements. Bagged, and labelled, the fresh gravel is then shipped to you.
Phew.
