All Aboard For The Tour
For the past few days, I've been supporting a visit by the Indonesian Authorities to this fair city.
They now have a weekend in town before two more days next week.
And that made me think that this town is not particularly touristy. Surrounding areas...yes. Very picturesque... but this town/city. Not so much.
And definitely no horse buggy tours.
Bonus - Yes...yes...yes...No. Oh Hell No!
Bonus 2 - armadillo girdled lizard

It's A House
Plain and simple. It's a house.
The sort of house you used to draw as a child. And very symmetrical.
But just a house.
Bonus - Natural Selection - Elephants with a rare “tuskless” genetic trait had a better chance of surviving Mozambique’s long civil war, financed in part by poached ivory.

More Fun Than You Can Shake Two Sticks At
Kids today? Pfft.
They may have mobile phones, Furbies, Tamagotchis and finger spinners, but I bet they didn't have as much fun as these Seventies kids and a set of monkey bars.
And if you're of a certain age, you can start your " 'elf n Safety ... wouldn't be allowed now ... snowflakes .... blah, blah, blah " rant now.
Bonus - A brie(f) history of cheese.

Norbert The Newfie
I may be wrong, but I suspect that this giant cuddlesome lump is a Newfoundland.
One of the true giants of the canine world, Newfies are famed for their lifesaving abilities. One, Boatswain, was immortalized in a poem "Epitaph to a Dog"

Make Paradise Look Shitty
Some photographers have a special gift. Some can make a pigs ear into a silk purse.
And some, shown here, can make a sunny tropical paradise look unappetizing.

What a gorgeous view.

The Memory Tour
What a great way to spend the afternoon. Walking with Granny, reliving memories from her younger days.
For example, here Elizabeth "Green-Tush" Parker regales her Grand-daughter a abot the night she, and two other cheerleaders, entertained the Defensive Line of the University of Alabama "Thundering Herd" Football team behind those bushes.
Legend.

The One-Person Tipper
Maybe it's a form of OCD, but sometimes a relatively dull slide intrigues me, and makes me think.
For Example - This slide of a tipper truck offloading it's load of asphalt.
Every other road-going tipper truck I've seen has a normal, two or three-person drivers cab. What's the reasoning for this one having only space for the driver?
Your theories are welcomed.
Bonus - Skipping stone on a frozen Lake, cool sounds

Meanwhile across town...
...something is happening.
Slowly.
NB: Strange. No info on the slide, but too one look and thought "I wonder if that's in Bermuda." A few minutes Googling and ....yes.
Bonus - I was digging a hole in my backyard when I found a box filled with gold.
I was so excited that I ran inside to tell my wife. Then I remembered why I was digging the hole in the first place.

Rural House Hunting
This slide is dedicated to My Sister A (and C, my Bro-in-Law), who have been house-hunting out east. After two let downs (by moronic sellers) hopefully the latest idyllic location will finally happen.
NB : The slide above does not feature my sister, the house in question...or even the correct country.
