Don't know where, but I do know when. July 1967

Being a construction of your humble blogger Tepid Halibut, with the aim of posting one vintage slide image per day, from now until Kingdom Come. (Or until Mr Halibut gets bored.)
Something familiar from my childhood.
Yes, I know what you're thinking - Isn't that St Giles' Church Of Scotland, on High Street, Elgin, Morayshire.
And you're right. And there's a very similar shot here, even down to the Two Timspons.
But the eagle-eyed will notice a difference. The feature at the top of the tower has been removed between the two images.
Bonus - Match the music review to the rating. "Reads Like A Five"
And what was written on the slide, became the title of the blog-post.
Fenner's is Cambridge University Cricket Club's ground.
Undated, I'm afraid.

Sorry. I've been distracted by providing IT Support for part of the evening.
So, this is just Post and Run.

But, alas, the photographer was sub-par.
It was a trip to Russia in 1985...yes, the year that Mikhail Gorbachev took commend, and oversaw the opening up of the USSR.
But THIS is a boring view from a grey river.

Bonus - To lighten the mood...
To make up for the lack of a slide yesterday - sorry, but I contracted Ennui - here's a return of Ahmed and Trevor, the Sand Dune Duo.
As you can tell, Trevor has new socks today.

The evenings are beginning to get shorter, so let's celebrate the arse-end of August with this redneck family.
Bonus - CHRONOLOGY OF WAKEUP CALLS Compiled by Colin Fries, NASA History Division
Closer examination shows the name Palm Beach, but I don't think we're talking America.
Nope, this is the Aussie one. As discussed here

Bonus - The Rectangular Cows: Geometric Livestock Depicted in 19th-Century British Paintings
Quite a nice slide, composition wise, and looks like and interesting fort.
No info on the slide, but ... I found it. I'd say it's Ghiyasuddin Tughlaq Tomb which means we're in New Delhi.

The weekend is here, and it's time to pile everyone into a car, and head off for some mischief.

Analysing the image: Faces may be blurred to protect privacy.
Sent by Copilot:
The image shows an individual wearing a yellow graduation gown with a red tassel on the cap. The person’s face is [NOT] pixelated for privacy. The background is a solid, dark color, possibly a wall. This image likely represents a significant achievement, such as the completion of an academic program.
That hardly seems a fitting title for Miss Cruikshank, Mrs Hardiman and Mrs Fluffer (Or Mary, Madge and Flo to their friends).
Single-handedly, they organise the St. Bobert the Wise Church Summer Picnic, then spend the day silently judging you.
Bonus - The Circle Of Life
It seems like just another late 50's, early 60's High School Marching band, out for a parade. The only interest, I thought, was in trying to figure out "Where?"
Nope. Couldn't narrow it down.
But then, close up, I noticed three large letters in the background, and ... Gulp.
Bonus - So, 412 is the limit.
Good Grief.
OK, maybe I can understand an Art Lover photographing great works of art to remind him of visits, or to inspire them.
But, when the photograph is this crappy...just Chuck It Out.
Yet, this photographer not only kept it, but they labelled it.
1983 09 Chatsworth Scwanthaler Girl and Woodman
So that's this.
Bonus - Weebl's Capybara song.
It didn't take much research to identify this as Pulteney Bridge, in Bath.
Never been there.
Bonus - Proper engineering...
The slide was only marked with "Tarabcon", but I reckon that this an image of the Pont de Beaucaire, in Tarascon. More precisely, I reckon that this picture was taken from a train crossing the rail bridge just south of here.

Unlabelled, but almost unmistakeable.
That's the Chrysler Building.
The Chrysler Building is an Art Deco skyscraper on the East Side of Manhattan in New York City, at the intersection of 42nd Street and Lexington Avenue in Midtown Manhattan. At 1,046 ft (319 m), it is the tallest brick building in the world with a steel framework, and it was the world's tallest building for 11 months after its completion in 1930. As of 2019, the Chrysler is the 12th-tallest building in the city, tied with The New York Times Building.

Yes, today is my little sister's birthday.
No, she's not in the picture above. (From July 7, 1954)
Yes, same birthday as Garrison Keillor, Alexei Sayle, Bruce "Iron Maiden" Dickinson, David Duchovny and Charlize Theron. Good company !

You never really get over your first disappointing visit to the seaside.
It's touted as a wonderful, sunny, cheerful romp on the beach.
It turns out to be a cold grey day at the sewage outflow from Clacton.
