(Not) The Christmas Decorations

Finally, a slide with a bit of info on it, but.... it only intrigues me more.

"Port Moresby" it said.

However, I can't figure out what this building (?) is.   There's a definite architectural resemblance to the Parliament Building, so I'm guessing that the parliament building was inspired by this form of structure.

But who knows for sure.
