Chillaxing in the Chill-Out Room

Education Time - Knowing that this Blog is eagerly read by several High School History classes, I thought I'd provide some historical context.

In the Nineties, a popular social activity was teenagers turning up to Raves. Wearing outlandish clothing teens would ingest large quantities of designer drugs (such as Cake, ClarkyKat or Adrenochrome, and dance to the hypnotic music of DJ Funsize.

At each rave, there was a chill-out room, when ravers could take a break, regain their energy, before boogying the night away.

Above, we have an image of the Chill Out room at the Windows 94 Rave Event.

I know I usually annotate such images with some "Seconds later, the family suffered..." sort of guff, but this time I'm getting good vibes from this image.

I know nowt about this, other than the slide dates from July 1977, but I have a suspicion that the building in the background might be Warwick Castle.
