OK> Last of my own Mull pictures for a while.
One odd observation - Mull seems to have an unnaturally high number of post-boxes for the population. (And a very high number of Red Telephone Boxes).
Bonus - Annoying the OCD folks...
Being a construction of your humble blogger Tepid Halibut, with the aim of posting one vintage slide image per day, from now until Kingdom Come. (Or until Mr Halibut gets bored.)

...The Netherlands.
And whattayaknow, it does appear to be a famous view of Marken Haven
Bonus - Still on hol, but...

Still on Holiday
Bonus - Tally-ho is the traditional cry made by the huntsman to tell others the quarry has been sighted. It may also be used with directions, including "away" and "back".
First used in fox-hunting, it was adapted in the 19th century to describe some horse-drawn vehicles and in the 20th century to advise of enemy aircraft and space junk.
Same box as the Helsinki slides, but this is only labelled as "Rutle".
So, could be Rutland, and the Ruthaus school of brutal architecture.
Bonus -
All that was on this slide was "Rothis Bride", but I'm 97% certain that they're referring to Röthis in Austria.
Probably just a grabbed image from a passer-by photographer. Who and when? I dunno.
Bonus - The way these cats react
Alas, I also hear "You've got to remember that these are just simple farmers. These are people of the land. The common clay of the new West. You know... morons."

Bonus 2 - To cheer you up
Surely not.
Tedious Tuesday, and I'm posting a picture of a speedboat? Travelling at hi speed??
Yep. And, isn't it tedious.

As I have said, 2,318 times, it's weird the things that you find in a box of slides. Like a photograph of a photograph.
Tonight, my plan of an evening of political discourse, obscene discussions and a moderate intake of alcohol was thwarted by Mr H heading off to visit Dublin Zoo. So, here's a picture of Laurance Rockefeller, Fairfield Osborn, Capt. Jean Delacour, Allyn Jennings, and Raymond Ditmars holding a baby chimpanzee, sitting at a table having tea at the Bronx Zoo in New York. From a 1941 edition of Vogue.
Probably related to this pic in the Getty Archives.
Bonus - Vintage Portraits of Krystal Fast-Food Employees From the 1960s
This slide had just the right look for a blog post today.
Then I noticed the date stamp: September 1964.
Yep. Perfect for the end of summer mood here is Slideville.

Ah, Civil Hydro-Electric Engineering. As usual, no info on the slide, but using my magical searching powers, I reckon that his is Moyie Dam in Idaho.
In fact, this news article has a very similar shot.
Bonus -
The tradition lasted until the late 70s, when a combination of cheap air fares and Trout Live disease mean that flying to Florida was a better summer break.
Bonus - Machine Hallucinations
With a calf. (OK, a "Cowlet" to use the proper term.)
This was in a box marked as "American Zoos", and the other slides were of more orthodox zoo contents. Maybe cows are exotic beasts in Montana.
I'm sure that most of my followers are experts on Medieval German Churches, and that's handy...as the slide had no info on it.
But, obviously, this is The Holy Ghost Church, in Heidelberg.
Bonus - The future of packaging - Automated Custom Cardboard Boxes
Tho' he would later find fame as a character in the scientific journal "Viz", Norbert first found fame as BBC Radio Bracknell's "The Prepubescent Plant Botanist".
That changed after the infamous "Noodle Incident."
