What other reason could there be for such an obsessive desire to avoid the sunlight ?
Bonus - Parking problems solved.
Bonus - Abergavenny in Bloom ?
Being a construction of your humble blogger Tepid Halibut, with the aim of posting one vintage slide image per day, from now until Kingdom Come. (Or until Mr Halibut gets bored.)

Bonus - Abergavenny in Bloom ?

Oops. Almost missed today's post deadline.
...but, I wouldn't let you dow, would I ??
Bonus : Of course...I need to make fun of England's Performance. After 40 years of jokes about Scottish goalkeepers...it's expected of me.
...but I'm contrary.
Bonus 2 - "What do Metal Dad's do when their kids are bored?"
Finally, the 2010 World Cup is here, and oh boy, am I excited. Engerland have a marvelous chance to do as well as they usually do - through the Group Stages and then out once they face reasonable sides.
So, I thought I'd post something vaguely appropriate - spotty English teenagers, kicking about a football on a patch of dust.
Sensible Corner. There seems to be an outburst of anti-USA stuff in the newspapers at the moment. Surely this couldn't be related to tomorrow's England v USA footie match, and some lingering resentment from the past??
Engineer's Corner. The anti-BP rhetoric regarding the Deepwater Horizon, reminds me of the Petrobas P-36 event. This PPT slide show is interesting and food for thought to all cost-cutters. Win-Win !
Edit : OK today's post is a little serious, so lets add in this WTF gif
An odd picture this. Young lad staring straight at the camera, and what I notice is his asymmetric mouth and nose. A pugilst perhaps.
So, I thought I'd see what his face was like if symmetric?

On the left - Frankie Muniz. On the right...ummm....any suggestions ?
Bonus - NYPD - Blue?

I suspect that some of you, loyal visitors, just come here to gawp at the slackers, nutters, freaks, weirdos, oddballs, misfits, loonies and dipsticks.
Meet Uncle Ken.
He lives in that van, dining on roadkill and critters. In the evening, he likes nothing more that a bit of posing on his plinth. Next year, he plans to depose Barack Obama by defeating him in a race to Dead Dog Farm and back.
Bonus - Speaking of white vans.... some jet ski shenanigans

Anyone else remember the mid 70's fashion for "Weeping Child" paintings ? Anyone recall the curse stories? People would buy these horrible artworks, and find that their house would burn down. Or their wife would leave the. Or their cat would catch rabies. Or maybe their neighbours' au-pair would break a tea cup.
This painting of or by Phoebe seems to fit in that genre. And, spookily, since owning this slide I have developed a fondness for Danish Blue cheese ! The curse works in mysterious ways.
Bonus - Zero-carbon, tax exempt sportscar.
Bonus 2 - NO ! Do Not Want !

Ah. This brings back the memories. Scotland in June.
The sky, a lovely shade of white. The gardens full of wildlife. Everything as God intended it., but colder. Just like Ivor Cutler remembered.
Bonus 1 - Collies - the ideal nanny
Bonus 2 - Apologies, but this might well flick with your brain. SFW, SFK

A bit of a surprise here. A rather relaxing, competent, family-free shot today.
Could almost be a pukka wallpaper shot.
Bonus - IMDB Surprise. I didn't remember these moments from Muppet Treasure Island (Doh... It's been corrected.)
Bonus 2 - When Engineers own Dogs
Oh, come on. It's not easy posting something every day. Cut me some slack.
Bonus 1 - Quad Rotor Drone - You have to admire the maneuverability !
Bonus 2 - A Treasury of "Old" Music Videos. Be prepared to lose an hour or so...
A nice little slice of everyday life. Looks like some local farmers are selling their produce at an impromptu farmers' mart, on a pleasant sunny spring morning.
Goodman & Jesters - Google suggests it was a department store in Columbus Ohio, and by the look of the cars, this was taken in the mid-to-late 1950's.
Nice.
Bonus - Tortoise finds Soulmate

Apologies. This week's Tedious Tuesday slide arrives on a Wednesday. Typical.
Bonus - Ideal site to have on screen if you're on Public Transport.
Bonus 2 - Following the BBC's announcement that Last of the Summer Wine is to be canceled, the denizens of B3TA have some suggestions.

They see me rollin'
They hatin'
Calendar Time :
Bonus - For Den Mom Arkangel - Damien Walters Show-Reel 2010 - A Derby lad - Impressed ?
