I find something comforting about this slide, but I don't really know why. The colours are fresh and vibrant, but I suspect that the slide dates from the 1950's.
Though I'm no fashion expect, the numbr of woollen overcoats, the lads in short hair and short trousers, the girls in ankle socks, the seamed stockings.... it just suggests the fifties to me.
The event - who knows, but everyoe is in their sunday finest, and heading in one direction. Some Saints Day in France ?
