Well, that's a Nick Cave song reference, but I'm not sure that the white crystalline powder he was referring to was really snow.
But, there sure is plenty of clean white snow in this slide...or at least there is now. It may come to you, but I do sometimes have to embark on a little Photo-Manipulation.
Yes, Photoshopping (or actually PSPing) out the myriad of specks on the original slide. As you can judge from this raw scan.
