Prototype WiFi
Many geeks know about the early days of MicroSoft/Windows and Apple Macs, but few people know the early days of Wi-Fi networking.
This is the earliest attempt at Wi-Fi networking. Tried out in 1945 after development by Tommy Flowers of the Post Office Research Establishment, it attempted to link ENIAC to Colossus. Unfortunately, it was not very successful, a problem traced to interference from a nearby unshielded Microwave oven.
