Hopkins' Organ
I'm heading over to Nottingham this evening, so I thought this medical shot was quite appropriate.
Hopkins' Organ is a medical oddity - it's part of the lower intestine, and acts as a reserve or overflow sphincter. Like the appendix, it collects excess detritus (feces, in this case) to prevent contamination of the more pleasant parts of the LI.
Like Nottingham, really.
