The Derbyshire Riviera

While Derbyshire is rightly famous as a holiday destination, few people know of its maritime connections.

Just east of Alfreton is the rocky seashore which is shown here, and it proves an excellent home for the Royal Navy's SSS. The Special Submarine Service are the navy's most secretive branch, and are masters of clandestine operations.

In fact, the Ordnance Survey were specifically prohibited from detailing the area around HMS Alport on their maps ... and I'm certainly not going to court controversy by revealing what I know.

Bonus - An earthquake will destroy a sizable portion of coastal Northwest USA. The question is when.
