There are a lot of Britons who are completely unaware of the long proud history of sea-faring of the Derbyshire peoples.
Even fewer are aware of the Derbyshire coastline (pictured here) stretching a few miles along the Guld of Swadlincote, from Hatton to Alvaston.
Being devoid of deep-water ports, it has become less busier in recent years, but has seen a growth in lobster farming, thanks to the clear waters in the area.
