Many parts of the world have "Lovers Leap" features. Either, where tragic lovers leapt to ensure that they would be together...forever, or where lovers leapt to escape from approaching parents / lawmen meaning they could make a new life far away.
This one is different. Harold (shown here) and Maude planned to leap together (type one), only for Harold to prank her, and not leap. He returned to Wyoming to marry Ethel, Maude's sister.
